Does anyone know if there are plans to bring ION Television to the Green Bay market?

Haven't heard any rumblings

Haven't heard any rumblings about it. ION, when it was PAX, was anchored at channel 14. It became WIWB with The WB, then went to The CW, and went from Acme Communications to LIN Media (home of WLUK) and became CW14 (WCWF) which we have now.

Looking at all the other existing broadcasters out there, I don't see anyone changing to pick up ION. Most likely situation would be if Journal / ACE TV moved off of MyNetworkTV, but I highly doubt it. From what I've heard, ION affiliates don't do much, if any, syndicated TV at the local level and WACY has several jewels of syndicated TV in their lineup. If they go more into local high school sports in future, this may also be opposed to the ION affiliation.

That would mean another broadcaster would have to enter the market entirely (pretty unlikely), one of the others would have to get a duopoly like LIN has (or Journal kind of has with its LMA for WACY). Again, highly unlikely.

Probably the only way I'd see it happening is if ION went to start up an "owned & operated" signal in the market or if one of the stations looses an affiliation (or a national network like MyNetTV goes under entirely).

Far as I can tell, there aren't any ION digital subchannels.

I hope NBC26 looses their

I hope NBC26 looses their affiliation with NBC and become ION26, but if they do what would happen if we don't have an NBC station?
