Time Warner Cable customers may lose WBAY and its ABC network programming Thursday if a new retransmission consent agreement isn't reached by month's end.
WBAY ran crawls on the Oscar telecast last night and posted warnings about it on their website. Judging from the comments on their website, viewers are none too thrilled to be caught in the middle of yet another game of chicken between two corporations.
WBAY, for their part, is reminding viewers of their other subscription TV provider options, as well as over the air with an antenna. Many viewers are leaving their own comments reminding others that ABC programs are often readily available by online means such as Hulu or ABC's own website.
This doesn't come at a good time for WBAY, who is already facing a fair amount of viewer ire over changing one of their digital subchannels from the fledgling Retro Television Network to the relatively little-known Live Well Network.
