Aww, nuts!

If you're like me and were looking forward to armchair-quarterbacking a long, bitter retransmission spat between LIN Television and Time Warner Cable, a la 2008, you're out of luck.

The two sides came to a, surprisingly, speedy agreement today, as reported by Deadline.com.  The current deal was to expire at 4 PM, but it appears that a new pact was in place in time to avert another blackout, this time snarling both WLUK and recent pickup WCWF (CW14).

So while both sides were gearing up for a protracted media slap-fight, a resolution was achieved and both sides saved face in view of already battle-weary customers who seem to see this happen again and again.

Kudos to both sides for making this happen.
