In addition to adding APT HD to the lineup, Wisconsin PBS made major upgrades last week to their equipment. Their new equipment also means that the 1080i format that has been used since WPNE went HD has now been changed. WPNE HD is now broadcasting in 720p.

I like 720p. Fast motion is definitely better with progressive scan, and my largest TV is only 37", so I can see no difference in resolution between 720 and 1080 (but I can easily see the better motion qualitities of "p".
